Helping Those
In Need
The Long-Lewis Foundation shows the Love of Christ by assisting those in our community that are struggling financially due to unforeseen medical or emotional circumstances.
We believe that you are never more like Christ that when you are Loving, Caring, Giving and Sharing. A primary focus for the Foundation is to offer financial support to the less fortunate people within our community. We especially want to support other faith based organizations or groups that are focused on benevolent causes. In addition to financial support, we also have many volunteers that are willing to give of their time. We are happy to partner with any faith based group or organization that truly wants to help those that can’t help themselves.
The Long-Lewis Foundation also wants to help “individuals” that are struggling financially due to unforeseen medical or emotional circumstances. We are willing to review requests for financial aid for individuals. However, we are also responsible for being good stewards of the resources that we manage. It is not the intention of the Foundation to offer “regular” or “ongoing” support to any individual. We do want to offer support when an unforeseen medical or emotional crisis strikes and the person needs financial support to help them get through their temporary situation. We prefer that all requests for individual aid be supported in writing by a local Church or 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. In most cases, we will pass the gift from the Foundation through one of these organizations to help ensure proper screening of each request. Rarely will we give money directly to an individual.
It is our responsibility and privilege to help those that truly need it.
Mission Work, Outreach Programs
and Scholarships
The Long-Lewis Foundation reaches out to our community by supporting Local Missions, Global Missions, Outreach Programs and Evangelistic Scholarships.
One of the Foundations main purposes is to support people in our local community that want to share the Love of Christ with others. We provide financial assistance for local outreach programs and to individuals that want to participate in local or global mission work. We also award a limited number of scholarships each year to those that have made a commitment to full time ministry and plan to attend an accredited seminary. We especially want to help those that have the desire, but may lack the financial resources to do it themselves.
The amount of financial support will vary based on each individual circumstance and request. We prefer that all requests be supported in writing by a local Church or 501c3 Non-Profit Organization.
“The Long-Lewis Foundation is dedicated to
sharing the love of Christ throughout the communities we serve by supporting evangelistic causes and providing aid to those experiencing medical
or emotional needs.”
