The Long-Lewis Foundation Local Hero of the Month Award

In an effort to Reward local people for Outstanding Community Service, The Long-Lewis Foundation will be awarding one person each month $500 and a Certificate of Appreciation to recognize their efforts in serving the Community. The Foundation will also make a $500 donation in the Local Hero’s name to their local charity of choice.*

Previously awarded recipients can only be nominated/awarded once every 12 months.

Also each month’s recipient will automatically be a candidate for the Annual Hero of the Year Award. If the recipient is selected, The Long-Lewis Foundation will be awarding the recipient $1,000, and also make a $5,000 donation in the Local Hero’s name to their local charity of choice.*

We look forward to rewarding citizens for their ongoing efforts to make our Communities better places to live and for aiding those in need within them. We also look forward to your participation in spreading the word so all who deserve recognition have an opportunity to be awarded.

Hero of the Month recipients must choose a 501(c)3 charitable organization that fall within those guidelines. The chosen charity will be approved by the stewardship committee.
